Another way you can tell you live in a SMALL town…

We just moved to a smaller town in Wyoming, but I didn’t realize HOW small until the other night. My wife has a cousin that also lives in this town, and we have been getting reacquainted with her and her husband. Friday night they called us to invite us to go to dinner with them. They assured us that this was one of the best places to eat in the area, and that we would really enjoy the meal, which was all-you-can-eat catfish. Now, first you should know that the food was very good, in spite of the fact that they ran out of catfish. When we asked where we should meet them, they told us…(ready for it)… Cruel Jack’s Truck Stop.

Says something about a lot of things..not sure what.

Take care. Stick.

Sounds about as wonderful as that restaurant in Orem, the "Squat and Gobble". ;)

You know you're living in an even smaller town when you don't even have a truck stop. See also Dutch John, UT.

I have to point out that the small town I lived in had to go to your supposedly small town to shop and stuff. So I don't think you really know what a small town is. :0)

I want you to know that Cruel Jack's was THE PLACE to go when I lived in DJ---any time I had to meet with teh Sheriff or his Deputies---day or night---we would meet at Cruel Jacks and have a snack while we discussed the issue.

The folks I dealt with there were the BEST ANYWHERE---some day I may share some of the stories about the Sheriff stopping about 100 Hells Angels and calling for backup with the following---"We are at MP XXX and I have them surrounded---would just like you here for security.
